Sourcing

Purchasing begins with recording the buyer's requirement. We first clarify what produce is needed, in what quantity and at what pace, and select the appropriate source to match.

Our supplier base is international: we work with large growers and trading houses in long-term relationships. Sourcing from several origins serves security of supply: if weather or the course of the season removes supply from one growing area, purchasing can continue from another.

Goods intake and quality

The quality of fresh produce is assessed on receipt lot by lot, on professional criteria: appearance, ripeness, firmness and freedom from damage. Intake is one of the most important control points in the wholesale process.

A lot that does not meet the agreed quality is not forwarded to the buyer. This consistent intake regime reduces returns and complaints in the long run, which makes cooperation more predictable for all parties.

Logistics

The shelf life of fresh produce is determined by time and handling together, so transport is organised over the shortest possible route with the fewest possible transfers.

Presence at the Budapest and Szeged wholesale markets also plays a role in logistics: the company is close to its buyers at two points and can deliver at a pace matching daily demand. Its storage, ripening and cold-store capacities are available at several sites.

Fulfilment and settlement

An agreement records three elements: quantity, quality and time of delivery. Performance is accompanied by accurate, traceable documentation: delivery note, quality and quantity intake, invoice.

An orderly settlement process is a basic condition of wholesale cooperation. Even with large volumes, the company keeps itemised, transparent records.

Operating principles

Four principles.

i.
Accuracy. We deliver the agreed produce at the agreed time. Performance is measured against these two conditions.
ii.
Continuity. Purchasing is organised so that service remains even in every part of the year, regardless of season.
iii.
Clear information. If a requirement cannot be met, we say so in good time, so that the partner can look for another source.
iv.
Business confidentiality. Quantity, price and volume data concerning our partners is treated as confidential.

What do you trade in?: We trade in fruit and vegetables across the full product range, with imported and domestic produce alike. The current range follows the season and demand; specific lots are best discussed with our traders.
Whom do you supply?: Our buyers are retail chains and wholesale partners in Hungary and abroad. The company does not engage in retail (consumer) sales.
Do you export?: Yes. We also sell to foreign buyers; we hold the valid EU VAT number required for intra-Community trade, which can be verified in the VIES system.
Where can we meet in person?: Our traders are present every day at the Budapest and Szeged wholesale markets. For an in-person meeting, please contact us in advance by phone or e-mail so that an appointment can be arranged with the appropriate colleague.
How does a cooperation begin?: By phone or e-mail. At the first discussion we record the requirement – produce, quantity, pace – and then clarify the terms in writing. The agreement takes effect from then on.
How long has the company been operating?: The company was entered into the court register on 21 November 2001 and has operated ever since. Our registry data – seat, branch offices, tax numbers – is public and can be verified by anyone.
